Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Arctic Sunshine Movers Ltd. By accessing or using our moving services, website, or any other services offered by us (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you must refrain from using our Services.

1. Services Provided

Arctic Sunshine Movers Ltd. provides moving services, including but not limited to local and long-distance moves, packing, storage, and transportation services. The specific services we offer will be detailed in your moving agreement or booking confirmation.

2. Booking and Payment

• Booking: To book our moving services, you must provide accurate information, including the date, time, pick-up and delivery addresses, and any special requirements. A booking may require a deposit or full payment upfront, as outlined in your agreement.
• Payment: Payments for services are due upon completion of the move unless otherwise stated in your agreement. We accept payments via cash, debit card, & credit card.
• Cancellation: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your move, you must notify us at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled move date. Cancellations or changes made within this period may incur fees, as detailed in your agreement.

3. Liability and Damages

• Property Damage: We will take reasonable care to protect your property during the move. However, we are not liable for damage to items that are not properly packed or prepared for the move or for damage that occurs due to pre-existing conditions.
• Excluded Items: We are not responsible for moving hazardous materials, perishable items, plants, animals, or other items prohibited by law or our policies. Please ensure that all items you wish to move are permitted.
• Limitation of Liability: Our liability for damages to property or goods during the move is limited to the amount of the contract price, or as specified by local laws, whichever is less.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• Access and Conditions: You are responsible for ensuring that the pick-up and delivery locations are accessible and that there are no obstacles preventing the move. You must inform us of any special considerations (e.g., narrow hallways, stairs, or elevators).
• Packing: If you opt for self-packing, you must ensure that all items are properly packed and securely sealed. We are not liable for damage to improperly packed or fragile items.

5. Delays and Unforeseen Events

We make every effort to complete the move within the agreed timeframe. However, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to traffic, weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other factors beyond our control. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule or resolve the issue.

6. Insurance

We offer limited liability coverage as part of our moving services. Additional insurance options may be available, and we recommend that you consider purchasing supplemental insurance for valuable or fragile items. Please inquire about available insurance options prior to the move.

7. Prohibited Items

You agree not to attempt to move items that are illegal, hazardous, perishable, or otherwise restricted by local laws or our policies. This includes, but is not limited to, firearms, explosives, toxic chemicals, flammable materials, and live animals.

8. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate or refuse services at any time if we determine that the customer is abusive, disruptive, or otherwise engages in conduct that prevents us from fulfilling the moving services. In the event of termination, no refunds will be provided, and any outstanding balances must be paid immediately.

9. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms and Conditions. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. By continuing to use our services after any such changes, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms and Conditions.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions or the use of our services will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Langley, British Columbia, Canada. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Langley.
